Project Information

The primary objectives of this Rainfall Monitoring Program were to determine the following:

• A correlation between rainfall characteristics and the frequency of occurrence of Combined Sewer Overflow (CSO) discharges;
• An understanding of the rainfall characteristics in the study area;
• A network of real-time rainfall monitoring for use in the monitoring and modeling of CSO drainage basins; and
• Establishing additional goals under the Modeling Quality Assurance Work Plan, which defined the short-term goals of the monitoring and modeling analysis.
