Interchange 105 Hope Road/NJ Route 36 Improvements

This $10 Million project involved the reconstruction of GSP Interchange 105 at GSP access ramps/NJ Route 36/Hope Road intersection. Improvements consisted of new ramps in the northeast and southeast quadrants of the intersection to accommodate left-turn movements, relocation of the existing GSP NB exit ramp to form a new signalized intersection, widening of approaches to Hope Road, NJ Rt. 36 and GSP access ramps to accommodate auxiliary lanes, and the construction of three traffic signals. The project also includes one new overhead sign structure, drainage improvements, rumble strip construction, signing, striping, lighting and utility work.

Interchange 105 Wayside Connection

This $11 Million project involved construction of new exit ramp from the SB Local Roadway to Wayside Road, construction of new SB ramp structure over Pine Brook Road, widening of the NB and SB GSP Local Roadways to accommodate additional auxiliary lanes, construction of a retaining wall, and widening and signalization of the new SB exit ramp/Wayside Road and Wayside Road/Pine Brook Road intersections. The project also consisted of the construction of eight (8) overhead sign structures, milling, paving, rumble strip installation, drainage, signing, striping, lighting, and utility work.

Boswell performed project management and inspection services for each of these multi-million dollar projects under one contract. Each phase was required strict adherence to NJTA Standards and Specifications and involved coordination with multiple entities including the NJTA Engineering Division, NJDOT, the County of Monmouth, Township of Tinton Falls/Eatontown, and several Utility companies.
