  • Disciplines: Design/Construction Supervision

Continental Soldiers Park is a multi-use recreational facility with amenities for all Township residents, ranging from toddlers using the tot lot to senior citizens using the walking paths. It consists of two baseball/softball diamonds, football field, soccer field, tot lot playground, skate park, bocce courts, gazebo, walking paths, computerized field lighting, and a year-round concession stand with restroom facilities. The project also included the design of a 233-car parking lot and an access roadway.

The park is a state-of-the-art facility with a 170,000 sq. ft. synthetic turf field surface, similar to those utilized by many professional teams and colleges. This playing surface is approximately 2.75 times larger than the playing surface at Giants Stadium.

Continental Soldiers Park was recognized by the American Council of Engineering Companies of NJ at their annual awards banquet, and received their “Distinguished Project Award.” Additionally, this project was designated as the “Municipal Project of the Year” by the New Jersey Society of Municipal Engineers in their statewide competition.
