This $4.5 Million project consisted of the demolition of the existing facility and the construction of a new 12,230 square feet educational, gift shop and reptile exhibit building. Boswell's primary duties included facilitating the coordination of three (3) contractors working within the same job-site simultaneously. The structure included the construction of spread footings with CMU walls with both timber roof trusses and decorative engineered wood trusses. This project further included two (2) new HVAC units with a return air plenum system. This system has multiple controls due to the variety of animal environments in the complex. A new telephone system which controls the entire facility, a new fire suppression system, a fire and burglary monitoring system, and major drainage systems were also installed.
