The purpose of the survey was to determine the overall condition of the structures through a 100% underwater visual inspection with photographic documentation. Additionally this also constisted of the inspection of safety features. The information collected was presented in the form of above and underwater photographs, written text, tables and drawings. In the case of the 65th Street Transfer Station, a design was prepared to alleviate the issue of excessive horizontal movement of the ramp. A 3-man dive team conducted the inspections in harsh conditions during the winter months.
