The Al Faisaliah Redevelopment project aims to upgrade Al
Khozama’s retail, hospitality and commercial assets commencing
with the renewal of the Al Faisaliah Mall. The assignement consists
on the refurbishment of the Al Faisaliah Mall, home to some of the
world’s leading designer brands and it foresees the demolition of the
adjacent Seyahiah and Al Khozama Centre buildings paving the way
for an extension of the Mall and the construction of the mall’s new
luxury extension, the five-star Al Khozama Hotel and subterranean
parking systems.
The Mall will be remodeled and upgraded in phases, ensuring that it
remains open throughout the 16-month period of work.
The Mall extension will have 16,000 square metres of additional
space, creating the longest street retail façade in Riyadh. Together
with the new Al Khozama Hotel, it will have a prominent presence on
Olaya Road in the city’s central business district.
The assignment covers a total gross area of 201,419 sqm and
includes the following works: Retail Mall Refurbishment including
the refurbishment of all common areas, new facades, new roof
structure and works to 157 individual retail units (Gross Area: 70,180
sqm); Construction of a five level underground parking (Gross Area:
53,770 sqm); Construction of an extension (Shell&Core for Mall and
Fit Out for Retail Area) to the existing retail mall over the basement on
four levels (Gross Area: 31,537 sqm); Construction of a 250 bedroom
hotel (Fit Out) over the retail mall extension on 17 levels (Gross Area:
38,422 sqm); Associated external works: infrastructure, landscape,
utilities, lighting, wayfinding, water features, signage and media
facades (Gross area: 7,510 sqm).
