2013 Water System Improvements – Township of Mahwah

The services performed entailed the preparation of design documents for the installation of 3,950 linear feet of 12 inch ductile iron water pipe on Campgaw Road and 1,350 linear feet of 8 inch ductile iron water pipe on East Crescent Avenue.  The design included replacement of service connections, valves and fire hydrants.  Connections to the existing water mains were made utilizing tapping sleeves and valves to avoid distribution of water service.  The design included the replacement of the water main beneath Campgaw Road at the I-287 crossing, as well as, jacking and boring of the water main on East Crescent Avenue to avoid disturbance to the existing culvert.  The design required the preparation of a Division of Water Supply and Geoscience – Bureau of Water System Engineering Permit Application to “Construct/Modify/Operate Public Water Facilities”, including an engineering report and all related document.  Boswell was also responsible for the preparation of the Soil Erosion permit application.
